Through my extensive network of publisher contacts and sub-agents around the world I am able to market the rights of your titles to a global reach of children’s publishers. Regular feedback on interest and twice yearly reports relating to the spring and autumn book fairs are provided to clients.

Book Fairs

Through regular attendance at the London, Bologna and Frankfurt Book Fairs, I meet with publishers and sub-agents from around the world. These key selling opportunities are vital to create exposure for client’s new and back-list titles. Through my Chinese sub-agent, client’s titles are also represented at the Beijing and Shanghai Book Fairs.

Licensing Rights

The full licensing of translation rights, English language market rights, digital rights and other related publishing rights starts from the submission of titles and supplying of review material, to the negotiation of a deal, to drawing up of the contract, to invoicing and chasing payments, supplying design files, checking on publication of the licensed rights, chasing of royalty statements and through to the end of a license period with either the renewal of licenses or reversion of rights.

Co-edition Sales

Although much of rights sales are through the licensing of contracts, for a number of projects where printing the books is preferable such as novelty books and some picture books, then the full co-ordination of English language and foreign language printing deals is provided. Working closely with my client publishers to provide print prices, schedules and contracts for the co-edition partners and seeing through the full process of a printing deal, shipment of books and invoicing.


Marketing of Rights

Regular email campaigns are sent out to all publishing contacts, with updates on new titles, award nominations and winners, seasonal catalogue mail outs and targeted campaigns for key titles and events. Posting updates on new titles and when titles are published internationally through social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn.
